About Us
Our mission at Helen Marie Smith Elementary School is to work as a collaborative team to create strong relationships so students feel safe, excited, challenged, and take responsibility for their learning. Together, staff, students, and families will create a positive learning environment and maintain a Growth Mindset in order to help all students grow academically, behaviorally, and socially/emotionally to their fullest extent and become 21st-century critical thinkers.

Our bell times have been updated for the 2026-2027 school year. Students begin instruction at 7:30 AM and dismiss at 1:41 PM. Gates will open at 7:15 AM for students to eat breakfast or have a wellness break.

For the upcoming school year, Helen M. Smith Elementary is officially an Open Enrollment school. This means that families living outside of our immediate neighborhood zone can apply to have their children attend Smith and join our incredible, 3-star school community!
If you have friends, family, or neighbors who want their students to experience the fantastic programs, dedicated staff, and wonderful culture we have here, now is the perfect time for them to apply.

Online registration for Clark County School District (CCSD) students for the 2026-2027 school year is now open.
Families new to CCSD may begin their registration process online via register.ccsd.net.
Families with currently enrolled students can complete registration using Campus Parent via Infinite Campus (campusportal.ccsd.net).
If you need assistance with your Campus Parent account, please contact the main office at 702-799-4300.

We are absolutely thrilled and incredibly proud to officially share that Helen M. Smith Elementary School has reached Three-Star School status!
This amazing milestone is a direct reflection of the dedication, resilience, and passion of our entire school community. From our hard-working students who show up ready to learn every day, to our phenomenal educators and staff who go above and beyond, and our wonderful families who support us every step of the way—this achievement belongs to all of us.

The Student/Family Handbook is a valuable resource filled with important information regarding school policies, procedures, and expectations to ensure a safe, respectful, and successful school year for everyone.
Please take some time to sit down and review the handbook thoroughly with your student(s).
